Hypothesis
The same purchase intent is distributed across multiple isolated marketplaces.
Example
A user wants 500 ml of açaí.
They may separately search:
- iFood;
- Rappi;
- 99Food;
- a merchant's direct ordering channel.
Each source may present a different:
- product title;
- nominal price;
- promotion;
- delivery fee;
- service fee;
- ETA;
- minimum order.
The research objective is to measure how much information a user must reconcile manually before making a purchase decision.
Evidence to collect
Real screenshots, timestamps, offers, fees, and final checkout values for equivalent purchase intents.
Do not generalize from a single observation.
